There are several different type of beaches open to the public in Plett. There are lagoon areas for young children and there are hot surfing and bodyboarding spots for the more adventurous. Plett has 6 premier, internationally recognised “Blue Flag” status beaches; including Robberg 5, Lookout Beach, Keurboomstrand, The Dunes, The Singing Kettle and Nature’s Valley.

The most popular of all the Plett beaches is Central beach. It not only offers a beautiful beach with safe swimming (lifeguards are on duty in the busy seasons) but is generally safe with a number of restaurants and shops right on the beach.

Take the N2 from Plettenberg Bay Drive over the Keurbooms river, past the signs to Keurbooms beach and up the hill. Plett Puzzle Park can be found on the right hand side of the N2 after the cell phone tower. Look out for the signs!

The Harkerville market is open every Saturday from 8 am to 12 pm is a must for anyone visiting Plett.

This market is a wonderful outing, being both and rustic and vibey, offering  a great mix of flea-, craft- and farmers’-market combined and offers an all-round South African market experience.

There is a wealth of stalls, with the likes of organic food, jewellery, woodwork, clothing, flowers, music, books and more on offer. The market gives visitors an opportunity to stock up locally grown fruit and vegetables, olive oils, meats etc..
